So, I haven't posted in awhile for a few reasons, mostly because I've been in and out of the hospital since October(ish). But I also picked up a room mate and we're planning on getting an apartment back on the dreaded mainland. Normally the room mate situation would not take up too much of my time, but he totally got me hooked on fighting games again. I thought I had given up after many nights spent mastering Ivy's god damn movesets in SC II, just to be completely destroyed in III (along with every other good part of the game) and yet again in IV (though still a quite enjoyable installment.) But anyhow, my room mate seems to be a master of 2d fighting games (by westerner standards) so we've been playing the hell out of Melty Blood (which is a spin-off game with characters from Tsukihime) and Guilty Gear. The only person I know that is more hardcore about 2d fighters on this island is his damn girlfriend; She has a sick winning streak against us with the Ciel character in Melty Blood, but today, that all changed when a box from the future arrived.
(Close up on box from the future)
- Fallout 3: 80+ hours into it, absolutely fabulous. I can't wait for the DLC which adds ten more levels and an actual game+ after completion of the story. (Xbox360)
- Call of Duty: World at War: Online is pretty similar to four, so it's great. I love the dogs, despite what other people on the interweb think. Singerplayer experience I don't think is as refined as four was, but I haven't beaten it yet so we'll see.
- Wrath of the Lich King: Level 80, completely most of the heroics within the first two weeks of release, got super bored and ended subscription again, wish my computer could handle Warhammer.
- Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Vb2: Pretty well balanced 2d fighting game, except Walachia, man he sucks. Unlike Arcana Heart, much less loli themes in this Japanese fighter.
- Resistance 2 (Beta): Best online co-op shooter ever.
- Little Big Planet (Beta): Best online co-op everything else.
